PathLife (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. Because PathLife is built to be your private sanctuary, we believe in being completely transparent about how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the information we collect when you use the PathLife mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

GOOGLE PLAY DEVELOPER POLICY & GLOBAL REGULATION MET

Our data processing frameworks are in absolute compliance with **Google Play Developer Policies**, the **Indonesian Personal Data Protection Act No. 27/2022 (UU PDP)**, the **European Union GDPR**, and the **California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)**. We strictly reject data brokering and unauthorized profiling.

To provide you with a chronological timeline and a secure environment to connect with your inner circle, we collect the following types of information:

A. Information You Provide to Us Directly

  • Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address, username, password, profile picture, date of birth, and gender.
  • User Content: We collect the content you create and share on your private timeline. This includes photos, status updates, moods, relationship statuses, paired nodes, and any other text or media you choose to upload.
  • Communications: If you contact us for customer support, we collect your email address and the contents of your message.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access PathLife, including hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: We collect log data about how you interact with the Service, such as access times, features used, and performance diagnostics.
  • Location Data (GPS Telemetry): If you choose to tag your location or enable background tracking (e.g., to show where you are currently sleeping, traveling, or visiting), we collect your high-resolution spatial location data based on your device settings. You have absolute control over this at all times and can disable or toggle location tracking permissions via your device’s operating system settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process and use the information we collect strictly for the following purposes:

  • To create, maintain, verify, and secure your PathLife account parameters.
  • To operate and deliver our spatiotemporal services, including displaying your interactive chronological timeline to your approved, paired inner circle connections.
  • To communicate with you directly, including sending essential technical notices, security alerts, and administrative support messages.
  • To monitor and analyze user trends, performance metrics, and application usage signals to continuously improve our app's speed, efficiency, and layout.
  • To detect, investigate, and proactively prevent fraudulent transactions, unauthorized network access, security breaches, and other illegal activities.

3. How We Share Your Information

Your privacy is our highest priority. We do not sell, license, or lease your personal information, GPS coordinates, or private content to third-party data brokers, marketing agencies, or advertisers.

We only share your information in the following limited and highly controlled circumstances:

  • With Your Approved Connections: The core function of PathLife is intimate sharing. Your timeline status updates, location marks, and photos are shared strictly with the specific, verified users you have explicitly approved to be in your inner circle.
  • Service Providers: We may share necessary server data with trusted third-party cloud infrastructure vendors who perform core services on our behalf, such as Google Firebase Firestore (for secure database clusters), storage containers, and email transaction systems. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Legal Compliance and Harm Prevention: We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with an applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process (e.g., UU ITE, UU PDP, court orders, or subpoenas); to protect the physical safety of any individual; to address critical security, fraud, or technical issues; or to protect our intellectual rights or physical property.

4. Data Retention & Deletion (User Rights)

In strict compliance with **Google Play Developer Policies** and user autonomy standards, you hold full and absolute control over all your personal data at all times:

Data Retention

We retain your personal data and timeline uploads only for as long as your account remains active or as required to provide you with secure Service features and satisfy legal/accounting frameworks.

Data Deletion Rights

You can request the complete and permanent erasure of your profile and data at any time by contacting our support team or through the Account settings inside the application.

Upon receiving a verified deletion request via your account interface or customer support, we will expunge your account, profile, timelines, GPS logs, and photos from our production database systems within a commercially reasonable timeframe.

5. Data Security

We implement comprehensive and commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures designed to safeguard your information from unauthorized access, loss, physical alteration, or data leakages. This includes transport-layer security encryption (TLS 1.3) and AES-256 server database protections.

However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage solution can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy & Age Limits

PathLife enforces strict age gates during register validation to protect children's online safety:

  • Indonesia (ID): Registrations are limited to individuals **16 years of age or older** to comply with self-consent frameworks under UU PDP No. 27/2022.
  • Global: Users must be at least **18 years of age** to register.
  • Children Under 13: PathLife is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to expunge such information from our server networks.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to accommodate changes in our platform architecture, Google Play policy revisions, or legal yurisdictions.

If we make material modifications, we will notify you by revising the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy page and, where required by applicable laws, by showing a noticeable alert badge inside the mobile/web application or sending an email.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your complete and binding acceptance of the updated policy.
